Christmas 2010

Our Christmas break was festive and unpredictable this year. With Jon's injury, we stayed close to home for the first part of our break. Then nature intervened, and we had to cancel our much anticipated trip to the East. We are still bummed not to have been able to celebrate Nana's birthday with her. Next year, Nana! After having had 2 trips planned, we ended up with a couple weeks of chill time, and Jon worked on healing his broken elbow. We still got to celebrate Christmas several times, though.

First we celebrated with our friends Shelia, Nate, and Silas, who we are so happy to live near again! The boys get along so well, and it is hilarious watching them play together.

Then we had our family Christmas, complete with a Nofolk pine tree and stockings hung from the chimney with care. Granny came over to share in the fun. Kaden made cookies for Santa, and when he woke up in the morning and saw that they were gone, Christmas shot up to the top of the list of Kaden's all time favorite things! I wish I could have captured the look on his face, but it is one that I'll never forget.

Checking out the loot:

SO pleased with Santa for putting a banana in his stocking!

And the favorite gift that Santa made sure to remember:

Last but certainly not least, our Christmas with Grandpa, Grandma Lu, and Rasana:

Great fun was had by all...
