Christmas Eve at Reilly's...any questions?

Okay, so it is Christmas Eve, in a foreign country that celebrates the holiday season with a rabid passion. We found Reilly's on our very first day in Antigua, and it was like a lifeboat on a sinking ship. After all, no place in the world is truly civilized if it does not have at least one Irish pub. The night before Christmas, Reilly's was hosting its weekly pub quiz, and my dad, who is a veritable fount of useless trivia, felt that we should compete. So, we went through like seven rounds, doing our best to correctly answer questions and still coming in last out of the seven or so groups who were battling to win. But instead of wallowing in self-pity, we soldiered on through the night, ordering a huge nacho platter, Sheperd's Pie, Beef and Guinness Stew, and various beers (yummy Guatemelan selections such as Mosa, Brahva, and Gallo were the number one picks). In the top photo below, my Mom and Dad are splitting a bottle well into the festive evening, totally unaware of my existence and needs...tadpole like Brahva hehehehehe...my amneotic fluid tasted more malty tonite, and helped my linkage of cells to stumble into tomorrow...
